Mumbai, Sept 30 (IBNS): At a time when the country is liking the trailer of upcoming Aamir Khan movie Thugs of Hindostan, the Mumbai Police took to Twitter to share a TOH inspired meme to convey an important message to people of the city.

The police captioned the meme as: "No place for Thugs in Mumbai #NoCityForThugs."

The meme also earned the attention of Aamir.

The actor praised the police for their hard work in protecting the city.

Expressing his respect for cops, Aamir Khan tweeted: "Waise, aap ka swabhav to shaqq, din-raat mehnat, aur satarkta hai. Bharosa to hum aap pe karte hain. Respect."

The trailer of the much-awaited movie was released recently.

The Hindi trailer was launched on Thursday by production and distribution company Yash Raj Films on the occasion 86th birth anniversary of late director-producer Yash Chopra.

All the actors were present at the trailer launch event in Mumbai.

Thugs of Hindostan is the first film where Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir are sharing screen space. Aamir had earlier worked with Fatima, who is also a part of the project, in Dangal, which released in 2016.

Katrina Kaif will also be seen sharing the screen space with Big B and Aamir Khan in the film.

Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial Thugs of Hindostan is set to release on Nov 8, on the occasion of festival Diwali.
