Pregnant, still working! Deepika Padukone shoots with Punit Malhotra during second pregnancy
Mumbai/IBNS: Motherhood and professional commitments can go hand in hand, as pregnant Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone sets a fresh precedent by continuing to work through her second pregnancy.
Shooting continues during pregnancy
Deepika recently shot for an advertisement film with director Punit Malhotra.
In a picture from the shoot, she was seen alongside the filmmaker while carefully concealing her baby bump.
Work commitments remain on track
The actress, who announced her second pregnancy with actor husband Ranveer Singh last Sunday, has decided to continue working on her upcoming films King and Raaka.
With both projects lined up for release, Deepika has chosen to stick to her shooting schedule.
Action sequences during pregnancy
According to a report by Hindustan Times, she is continuing to shoot for Raaka, including action sequences.
“During her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka. She will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy,” the report quoted a source as saying.
Big-ticket releases ahead
Deepika stars opposite Shah Rukh Khan in King, marking their sixth collaboration. The film is slated for a December 24, 2026 release.
She also stars alongside Allu Arjun in Raaka, which is expected to hit theatres later in 2026.
