Sushant Singh Rajput's death triggers nepotism debate on Twitter; Alia, KJo slammed
Mumbai/IBNS: The suicide of Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput has triggered a much-talked-about 'nepotism' debate on Twitter, targetting Bollywood's leading contemporary actress Alia Bhatt and celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar in the micro-blogging site.
Several Twitterati have lashed out at Bhatt and Johar for allegedly encouraging nepotism in Bollywood while Sushant with no lineage in Bollywood was trying to climb the ladder in Tinseltown.
In a tweet, Bhatt, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, was criticised for her poor rating of Sushant during a game in Johar's popular television chat show 'Koffee With Karan'.
In the particular game, Bhatt was offered three actors to "kill, marry or hook up" but the Raazi actress chose Sushant for the first option.
When she was asked to rank a few actors on the basis of "sex appeal", Bhatt took the name of Sushant at the very end.
One apparently enraged user tweeted this saying, "How they really think about an outside actor. I am not blaming but This is the sad reality of the bollywood."

Mourning the demise of Sushant, Bhatt on Sunday tweeted, "I’m in a deep state of shock. No matter how much I think about it, I don’t have the words. I’m totally devastated. You've left us too soon. You will be missed by each and every one of us. My deepest condolences to Sushant's family, loved ones, and his fans."

But the mourning tweet has not gone down well with all Twitter users. One of them was Anika who had expressed "hatred" saying, "Though I have never liked u @aliaa08 but I have nvr hated u ...but for the first time, I m feeling I have so hatred for u. u guys killed him."

One of the Twitter users has also shared an episode of 'Koffee With Karan' where actress Kangana Ranaut had slammed Johar for "showing unnecessary attitudes."
A 'Koffee With Karan' episode, where Kangana had accused Johar of being "the flag-bearer of nepotism", was shared by a Twitter user.
