Tahir Raj Bhasin to play Sunil Gavaskar in '83

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin will portray former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar in upcoming Hindi film '83.

'83 is a biopic on World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#TahirRajBhasin as #SunilGavaskar... Character poster of #83TheFilm... Directed by Kabir Khan... 10 April 2020 release."

Actor Ranveer Singh will be seen as Kapil Dev in the film.

Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone will portray Kapil Dev's wife's role onscreen.

The film, which will be directed by Kabir Khan, is slated to release on Apr 10.
