Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli re-releases to massive reception in box office

Chennai/IBNS: Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Ghilli', which was one of the actor's biggest hits, has re-released to massive cheers in the box office.

The film, which was a remake of Mahesh Babu's Telugu film 'Okkadu', was re-released in theatres.

The pre-booking of tickets have been recorded at a massive level, in great excitement for the film, which had its first release in 2004.

The advance booking had touched to Rs. 3 crores already.

The romantic sports action film, which was directed by Dharani and produced by Sri Suriya Movies, tells a story of Saravanavelu, an aspiring Kabaddi player, who goes to Madurai to participate in a match. He then rescues Dhanalakshmi from Muthupandi, who forces her to be with him.

Vijay starred alongside Trisha and Prakash Raj in the film.
