Viral video sparks alarm: Former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase found living on California streets

A video showing former child actor Tylor Chase living on the streets of California has gone viral, raising concern among fans and former colleagues.

Chase, who rose to fame for portraying Martin Qwerly on Nickelodeon’s popular mid-2000s series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, appears in the video wearing torn clothes and struggling to pull up his pants while speaking to the woman filming him.

The video does not explain how Chase ended up in his current condition, and he does not address the circumstances that led to his apparent homelessness.

Born on September 6, 1989, in Arizona, United States, Chase began his acting career as a teenager in the early 2000s. He gained recognition as Martin Qwerly, a recurring character on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, which aired from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to the Nickelodeon series, Chase appeared in the television sitcom Everybody Hates Chris in 2005 and played Young Adam in the 2007 independent film Good Time Max, directed by and starring James Franco.

Meanwhile, former The Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss has shared a video on social media offering to help Chase. Weiss said he has reached out to friends and arranged a bed for Chase at a detox facility, along with access to long-term treatment.

“All we need to do now is find him,” Weiss said. “I’m not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself.”
