'... would initially really trigger me': Mom-to-be Ileana D'Cruz on 'weight gain' question
Mumbai/IBNS: Indian actress Ileana D'Cruz took to social media in the month of April to announce her first pregnancy. Almost a month later, the actress shared a baby bump on her personal Instagram profile.
Now more after a month since then, Ileana was up for a question/answer session with her fans and followers on Instagram.
One of her many followers shot a question at her whether she was worried over weight gain, which is a very natural phenomenon during pregnancy.
In reply, the actress, who started her acting with south Indian films and later shifted to Bollywood, said, "Ok so this question would initially really trigger me. And I think it's because so many people comment on your weight when you're having a baby.
"It doesn't help when you go to your doctor for checkups and they have to weigh you in every time so it's consistently on your mind. Let me just say I've loved how my body has changed these past few months."
She added, "It's such a miraculous wondrous humbling journey. And yes I'm human and there are days I don't feel great. But I have an amazing support system and people that love me and remind me that I am making a literal little human inside me!
"So 'weight' does not matter. Don't go by what the 'ideal amount of weight gain' should be during your pregnancy. Stay as happy as you can. As healthy as you can. And listen to your body! Do what feels right to you."
Ileana was rumoured to be dating Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif's brother Sebastian Laurent Michel.
Sebastian and Ileana along with Katrina and her actor husband Vicky Kaushal went on a trip to Maldives together.
On the work front, Ileana is popularly known for 'Barfi!', 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero', 'Rustom', 'The Big Bull'.
