Mumbai, Sept 19 (IBNS): Ten years back an eventful incident had shaken cricket lovers in India, creating memories for their lifetime, when cricketer Yuvraj Singh had smashed six sixes in one over during a World T20 match against England in South Africa.

The inaugural T20 World Cup was played in South Africa and it was India that clinched the trophy by beating Pakistan in the final.

But much before the final, it was a charismatic innings by Yuvraj Singh that had caught the attention of fans world over.

On Sept 19, 2007, Singh had smashed England pacer Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over at Kingsmead.

The day remains in the memory of thousands of Indian cricket lovers across the globe still today.

Posting one picture of Yuvraj smashing a six from the match, BCCI tweeted: "On This Day in 2007 - @YUVSTRONG12 smashed Six 6s in an over #Yuvraj #Legend."

India had won the match.

It was also MS Dhoni's first taste of success as he had led the team to a World Cup victory.

India were knocked out from the group stage of the 50 overs World Cup earlier in the year.

The victory of the T20 World Cup gave millions of fans some amount of solace and excitement following the heart-break in West Indies.
