Asia Cup: MS Dhoni suffers muscle spasm, Parthiv Patel named as back-up wicket-keeper

Dhaka, Feb 22 (IBNS): India's limited overs skipper MS Dhoni suffered a muscle spasm in the back during a training session in Dhaka on Monday, the BCCI said.

The Indian team is currently in Dhaka to play the Asia Cup.

The BCCI said its All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Parthiv Patel as the back-up wicket-keeper for the tournament.

"India ODI and T20I captain MS Dhoni has suffered a muscle spasm in the back during a training session today in Dhaka," the BCCI said in a statement.

Parthiv Patel will join the team in Dhaka soon, the BCCI said.
