Ex-Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly poses with Central security forces for a photo shoot at polling booth in Kolkata
Kolkata, May 19 (UNI) Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly was taken aback for some time after he was virtually surrounded by a group of armed central security forces jawans when he emerged out after casting his ballot at a polling booth at his home constituency in Kolkata South.
When he realised the presence of the central forces around him and for what reason, he acknowledged and conceded their demand for some self-fie with the smiling jawans.
" I was a bit surprised initially but then I happily acknowleged their demand for self-fie." Ganguly said smilingly.
Ganguly had cast his ballot at the Barisha polling booth under Behala in Kolkata South.
The central armed forces have been under fire from both the ruling TMC and opposition parties for alleged excesses and under performances since the first phase polling started April 11. But the photo shoot with the former India captain was a picture of all smile from a voter and armed security forces who have been on assignment under intense heat and sickening summer weather.
