First Test: India 144/6 at lunch on day 5, need 276 more runs to beat England

Chennai/IBNS: India scored 144/6 at lunch on the fifth day of the first Test match against England, needing 276 runs to win the contest.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and allrounder Ravichandran Ashwin are unbeaten at 45 and two respectively.

Earlier Shubman Gill was dismissed for 50.

England's premier pace bowler James Anderson picked three wickets for eight runs in seven overs.

Jack Leach and Dominic Bess picked two and one wickets respectively.
