Ind-Bang tour: Young Indians beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets

Mirpur, June 15 (IBNS) A young Indian team defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the first ODI match of the three-match series here on Sunday.

Chasing Bangladesh's 272 for nine, which was later revised to a target of 150 runs in 26 overs via D/L method, India reached the target 153 runs by losing three wickets with seven balls to spare.

Robin Uthappa, who showed good form in the recently held Indian Premier League (IPL) scored 50 while  Ajinkya Rahane top scored with his 64 as both added 99 runs in the first wicket partnership.

Shakib Al Hasan struck twice while Mashrafe Mortaza picked up the wicket of Rahane as India were reduced to 132 for three in 22.1 overs.

Bangladesh earlier posted 272 for nine n 50 overs .

Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim remained the top scorer for the side with his 59. He hit three boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Shakib Al Hasan contributed 58 runs off 58 balls.

Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets for India.

Jammu and Kashmir spinner  Parvez Rasool, who made his debut in the match, took two wickets by giving away 60 runs in his 10 overs while Amit Mishra took two.
