Nottingham, Aug 22 (IBNS): Indian bowlers took little time in dismissing the last English wicket on the last day of the third Test to clinch the match here.

England continued the day's proceedings at 311 runs for the loss of nine wickets and on Wednesday morning Ashwin dismissed James Anderson (11) to finish off the English tail.

England posted 317 runs in the second innings, losing the match to the Asian side by 203 runs.

India needed just one wicket to clinch the match.

After losing consecutive Test matches, India bounced back in the third to win the match and level the series 2-1.

Jos Buttler remained the only shining point in the English batting lineup with his 106 runs.

He put up some amount of resistance against the Indian bowlers and delayed the downfall of the battling lineup as he paired with Stokes (62) to put up 169 runs in the fifth wicket partnership.

Rashid remained unbeaten at 33 for England.

Indian fast bowler Bumrah shined with the ball in the second innings as he ended the match with five wickets.

Hardik Pandya had picked up five wickets in the first innings.

After bowling out England for 161 runs in the first innings, India scored 329 runs in the first innings.

India declared at 352 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the second innings.
