Mumbai/IBNS: The Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday informed that its Governing Council has convened a meeting next week to review the tournament's various sponsorship deals in the wake of the India-China faceoff at Ladakh.

"Taking note of the border skirmish that resulted in the martyrdom of our brave jawans, the IPL Governing Council has convened a meeting next week to review IPL’s various sponsorship deals Flag of India," IPL official Twitter account shared.

Following the India-China deadly clash at Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh on Monday which claimed the lives of 20 soldiers, there has been a massive outrage among the people with a tremendous demand that all Chinese products be banned from use.

Fans have asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on social media to remove the title sponsor of IPL, Vivo, which is a Chinese phone manufacturer.

In December last year, Vivo retained the title sponsorship rights of IPL for a period of five years with a whopping Rs 2,199 crore.
