Mumbai, Apr 6 (IBNS): South African pace sensation Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a lower-back stress reaction, media reports said.

He will have to nurse his injury for three months.

Rabada was bought by Delhi Daredevils, an IPL franchise, at the auction at INR 4.2 crores.

Expressing regret to miss out from the T20 tournament, Rabada tweeted, "Not happy to be out of the @IPL. However, life moves on. It’s been a long season of cricket, and I can’t wait to be fit again. To the @DelhiDaredevils team, give it ‘ horns ‘. Time to rest."

The IPL 2018 will begin on Saturday.
