Chennai, Apr 6 (IBNS): Chennai Super Kings registered yet another win in the 12th edition of Indian Premier League as they defeated Kings XI Punjab at MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Saturday.
Batting first, Chennai scored 160/3 in 20 overs.
Faf du Plessis was the top scorer for Chennai. He scored 54 off 38 balls.
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (unbeaten 37) and Ambati Rayudu (unbeaten 21 off 15) helped Chennai to go past 150 mark.
Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin picked all three Chennai wickets.
In reply, Punjab scored 138/5 in 20 overs.
Sarfaraz Khan (67) and Lokesh Rahul (55) were the lone fighters for the visiting team.
