Mumbai, May 16 (IBNS): Rajasthan Royals moved to the play-offs of the IPL by beating defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in a group stage match of the tournament here on Saturday.

Opener Shane Watson's dynamic 59-ball unbeaten 109 helped Rajasthan post a massive total on the scorecard. He smashed nine boundaries and five sixes in his knock.

Ajinkya Rahanae (37) and Watson added 80 runs in the first wicket partnership too help Rajasthan get off to a strong start in the match which was crucial for both the sides.

Andre Russel impressed with his bowling as the KKR all-rounder picked up 3 wickets by giving away 32 runs.

Yusuf Pathan's 35-ball 44 and Russell's 20-ball 37 failed to reach the target for KKR as the two-time champions kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
