RKFC announces Women’s Football Development Programme

Srinagar: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) on Monday launched Women’s Development Programme in collaboration with Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar under the banner of ‘She Power Programme’.

In a tweet, Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) announced a women’s development programme under the title ‘She Power Programme’ in which women of the valley are going to participate in football matches along with men's football matches.

The ‘She Power Programme’ is one its first kind which is a collaboration of Real Kashmir Football Club and Delhi Public School Srinagar, initiated in the valley, in which women of the valley would participate in football matches.

RKFC further tweeted that the ‘She Power Programme’ has been kick started with the aim of developing Women Football in the state with parallel to Men’s Football.

“RKFC’s U-14 Women’s team has been launched and U-10 Soccer School shall commence in the following weeks,” RKFC tweeted.

On its inaugural day on September 20, more than 60 girls registered in the programme for the U-14 Trials at DPS Srinagar.

Earlier, The Real Kashmir FC has played an important role for keeping the spirit of the sportsmen, sportswomen and sports lovers alive by organising football matches from time to time in the valley.

"When the whole valley was under stress the real Kashmir came with a respite in the environment of suffocation by playing matches amid lockdown in TRC,” a student Tasleema said.

To empower Women of the valley, RKFC has come up with a plan to boost their morale.
