Virat Kohli smashes crucial 85 as India beat West Indies by four wickets to clinch series 2-1

Cuttack/IBNS: Indian skipper Virat Kohli led from the front as his side defeated West Indies by four wickets in the final ODI to clinch the trophy here on Sunday.

Kohli hammered 85 runs with his willow and Ravindra Jadeja contributed crucial 39 runs at the end which helped India reach 316 runs for the loss of six wickets after West Indies posted 315 runs on the scoreboard earlier.

Kohli smashed nine boundaries in his innings that made all the difference between the two sides. India won the series 2-1.

Paul picked up three wickets for West Indies.

Kohli completed his 55th ODI half-century but Paul dismissed him before he could further extend his knock.

Earlier, riding on skipper Kieron Pollard's 74 and Pooran's 89, West Indies had posted 315 runs for the loss of five wickets.
