Visakhapatnam/UNI: Nearly 1,487 police personnel on Tuesday will provide security for the third T20 cricket match between India-S.Africa to be held at YSR-ACA stadium.

Addressing a media conference on Sunday, City police commissioner Ch.Srikanth said that the city police had taken all security measures both inside and outside the stadium on June 14.

In all 1,487 police personnel including 496 traffic police will be deployed for the security purpose, he said 11 parking places have been already identified for the parking of vehicles.

Srikanth said police will not allow firecrackers, food items and water bottles inside the stadium by the spectators.

He appealed to the public to reach the stadium early to avoid congestion of the traffic.

All necessary arrangements have been made for the conduct of the match, according to ACA association sources.

The ground has a capacity of 27,000 spectators and the association had already sold 19,000 tickets.

The match will be commenced at 1900 hours in floodlights, the sources added.
