With win against Windies, Virat Kohli becomes most successful Indian Test captain
Jamaica: With a 2-0 win against Windies in the Caribbean soil, Virat Kohli has become the most successful Indian Test captain.
With 28 wins in 48 Test matches, Kohli surpassed his immediate predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Dhoni had won 27 matches for India as a captain in 60 Tests.
In the international sphere, Kohli is now just behind two former Australian skippers, Steve Waugh (36 wins) and Ricky Ponting (33 wins).
Remaining humble even after achieving the new feat, Kohli in the post-match presentation ceremony said the record as a captain is just the "by-product of the team we have".
India showed an all-round performance as they defeated Windies by 257 runs in the second Test match on Monday.
India had won the first Test by 318 runs.
