So it is hardly a surprise that as many as 2 billion UPI transactions took place in the month of October alone! New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): Announcing new measures and explaining the purpose of demonetisation, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced that the main purpose of the move declared by the Centre was to reduce cash transactions as much as possible.
