Panaji/UNI: The Navy on Saturday said that the issue of national flag hoisting at St Jacinto island in the state was sorted out and a team from Goa Naval Area and residents amicably participated in National Flag hoisting at the island.

Panaji/IBNS: The Indian Navy had to cancel the flag hoisting ceremony in Sao Jacinto island in South Goa on Independence Day after opposition by a group of locals, prompting Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to warn the islanders that "anti-India activities" would be dealt with an "iron fist".
