Bangladesh: Nahid Islam, who led movement to oust Sheikh Hasina, quits interim government

Student movement leader Nahid Islam, who spearheaded the movement that led to the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government on August 5 last year, on Tuesday, resigned from the Bangladesh interim government amid reports that he would join a new political party.
