Islamabad, June 12 (Xinhua/UNI) At least one security personnel was killed and two others injured when a blast hit a vehicle of security forces in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal district, local media reported on Wednesday.

The incident happened when the vehicle of paramilitary troops frontier corps was on its routine patrolling in the Manzerkhel Berzai area of the district, Dawn News said.

Security officials said that the vehicle was hit by a roadside planted bomb which was triggered with a remote-controlled device.

The injured security personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital. No group or person has claimed the attack yet.

It was the third attack targeting law enforcement agencies in the district in less than a week. Earlier two attacks left six army soldiers including three senior officers killed.

Pakistani military said Friday that terrorists had increased attacks in North Waziristan, and during last month, 10 security forces personnel have been killed while 35 got injured.
