6.5 magnitude quake rocks western China
Beijing, Nov 25 (IBNS): A powerful earthquake measuring 6.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale rocked western China on Friday night.
"Prelim M6.5 earthquake southern Xinjiang, China Nov-25 14:24 UTC," USGS tweeted.
According to USGS, the quake hit southern Xinjiang at a relatively shallow depth of 12 km.
The quake was felt near the Tajik border.
