Afghanistan: 2 AAF personnel shot dead in Kabul

Kabul, Aug 28 (IBNS): Two personnel of the  Afghan Air Force (AAF) were shot dead by unknown people in Kabul on Monday, media reports said.

Police spokesman Hashmatullah Stanikzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Khwaja Boghra area of the 15th police district at around 6am.

He said the attackers arrived in the scene on a motorcycle.

A source in MoD told the Afghanistan-based news agency that a pilot and an engineer were killed by the gunmen. He said the assailants managed to flee the area. A search has been launched by police.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
