Afghanistan: 2 die as ANA copter crash-lands in Kandahar

Kabul, Nov 24 (IBNS): At least two people died as an Afghan National Army (ANA)’s helicopter crash-landed in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Saturday, media reports said.

The incident left two others injured.

Kandahar police spokesman Zia Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Maroof district before noon.

Javed Ghafor, Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesman, blamed the crash on technical issues and confirmed two individuals onboard were killed and two others wounded, reported the Afghanistan-based news agency.

He did not reveal the identity of the victims.
