Afghanistan: 45 kg drugs seized in Nangarhar province

Kabul, Feb 10 (IBNS): Afghan Counter-Narcotics Special Operation Police seized 14kg heroin, 28kg hashish and 3kg chemical during an operation conducted in Surkh Rod district, eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Sunday.

Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior Affairs said a drug trafficker has been arrested.

"A drug trafficker was also arrested and the drugs were recovered from a vehicle hidden in its compartments," read the statement issued by the Ministry.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs said it is committed to fight against narcotics and Afghan Counter-Narcotics Special Operation Police are having major success in fighting against smugglers and narcotics, which will continue.
