Afghanistan: ISIS-K terror group claims responsibility for Eidgah mosque blast in Kabul

Kabul: Terror group ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the deadly explosion on the Eidgah mosque in Kabul on Sunday, media reports said on Wednesday.

The explosion left eight people dead and 20 others hurt.

The Taliban did not disclose an exact number of their fighters killed and wounded though, a source told the Khaama Press that most of them were the Taliban fighters.

The explosion which is said to have been conducted by a suicide bomber targeted a big mosque close to the Presidential Palace where people and the Taliban officials had gathered for the mourning and prayer ceremony of the slain mother of Zabiullah Mujahid- spokesperson and deputy minister of information and culture, the news agency reported.
