Afghanistan: Separate Taliban ambushes kill at least 16 security personnel

Kabul, Apr 23 (IBNS): At least 16 security personnel, including policemen and soldiers, were killed in two separate attacks conducted by the Taliban militant group in Afghanistan, local Tolo News reported.

The incident took place on Sunday night.

The news outlet quoted as source as saying that an ambush at a police check post in Qala-e-Naw city of  Badghis province accounted for nine soldiers, while a second attack in Qads district killed seven policemen.

The local officials haven't commented on the report so far.
