Afghanistan: Taliban's IED expert dies in explosion

Kabul, June 29 (IBNS): A Taliban group member, who was an expert in improvised explosive devices, died in an explosion which rocked Afghanistan's Jawzjan province on Saturday, media reports said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the incident took place in Khanqa district of Jawzjan, reported Khaama Press.

The statement further added that Qari Asadullah, Taliban IED expert was placing a roadside bomb to target the security forces when the explosion took place, reported the news agency.

The Taliban did not comment on the matter so far.
