Beijing, Oct 26 (IBNS): A knife wielding woman has hurt at least 14 children at a kindergarten in China, reports said.

The incident took place in south-west China's Chongqing.

The woman has been identified as Liu, a 39-year-old, who was carrying a kitchen knife and attacked the kids while they were in the playground.

Though the motive in not yet clear, some reports said that Liu had complaints against the Chinese government.

She has been arrested.

While local media reports have stated that at least two children died in the attack, police have dismissed it as 'rumour' and have asked people not to spread it.
