At least five killed in Quebec mosque shooting

Quebec City, Jan 30 (IBNS): At least five people have been killed after unidentified gunmen open-fired at a gathering outside a Quebec mosque, media reports said.

Though the police haven't confirmed the casualty yet, the president of the mosque told reporters that five men were gunned down.

Police have arrested two people in connection with the incident and have started an investigation.

The incident took place on Sunday night where shots were fired at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre.

A dozen people had gathered for their prayers, 

Condemning the incident and condoling the loss, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted, "Tonight, Canadians grieve for those killed in a cowardly attack on a mosque in Quebec City. My thoughts are with victims & their families."
