Dhaka, Apr 19 (IBNS): Rapid Action Battalion members killed a suspected arms dealer during a shoot-out in Bangladesh's Gazipur area, media reports said on Friday.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 am on Friday in the district’s Salna area, media reports said.

The dead could not be identified immediately but RAB estimates that he was around 35 years of age, RAB-1 Company Commander Lt Commander Abdullah Al Mamun of Gazipur camp told bdnews24 news portal.

Two RAB personnel were also injured during the incident, reports said.

A gun and a magazine with bullets have been recovered from the spot.

“When the arms dealers opened fire, RAB retaliated. At one point, a weapons dealer was shot in the crossfire and died," a RAB official told the news portal.
