Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina's Awami League has released its poll manifesto where it vowed to continue cooperation with neighbouring countries, including India, in various areas like cross-border communication, transit, energy partnership and equitable water sharing, media reports said.

If elected, Bangladesh's development cooperation with all the countries will continue, Sheikh Hasina was quoted as saying by BSS News.

"Cooperation with neighbouring countries will continue in various areas, including cross-border communication, transit, energy partnership, and equitable water sharing," she added.

Bangladesh will vote to elect a new government on January 7.

On the India-Bangladesh ties, the manifesto said as quoted by DD News: "The long-standing problem of demarcation of land boundaries and exchange of enclaves with India has been resolved. This achievement has encouraged continued multilateral cooperation and friendly relations with India."

In the manifesto, Awami League vowed to developed, prosperous and Smart Bangladesh by 2041.

"Bangladesh will be established as a high-middle-income country by 2031 and a developed, prosperous, smart one by 2041 by the Bangladesh Awami League, the bearer of the spirit of the Liberation War, if the people once again allow us to serve them by voting for the Boat, the AL's electoral symbol," she was quoted as saying by BSS News.

She said the government will give people development, peace, and prosperity if Awami League is voted to power.

The manifesto also focused its attention on zero tolerance against corruption and terrorism.
