Caring PIA crew member awarded by UN

A photo of Touheed Daudpota, a PIA crew member, went viral on social media where he was seen helping to soothe a crying baby on a flight from Karachi to Islamabad. The UN Women Pakistan recognized his act and declared him ‘He for She” champion.

The crew member was honored for displaying empathy, gender sensitivity, respect, and care to a woman passenger, reported Dawn. The UN women Pakistan is a branch of the United Nations that works for gender equality and women empowerment.

The PIA later announced the news on its official Twitter handle and shared the pictures of the award ceremony, and captioned that: "Upholding long traditions of '#GreatPeopletoFlyWith.’ This is after a long time when the PIA is in limelight for good reasons. Otherwise, people usually take to Twitter and other social media networking sites to expresses their dissatisfaction with the poor services of the airline which had earned negative publicity last year because of the unearthing of fake license racket by its pilots because of which it was barred from flying to the UK and some other countries.
