China: Restaurant offers discounts according to bra size, incurs wrath

Beijing, Aug 8 (IBNS): As bizarre as it sounds, a restaurant in mainland China incurred the wrath of its customers after it offered the female diners discounts depending on the size of their breasts!

The Zhejiang-based restaurant was willing to provide five percent discount to someone with cup size A, but a further enhanced size, G, could land someone almost 65 percent discount.

The entire scheme, starting from the slogan: 'The whole city is looking for BREASTS', didn't go down well with customers, who said that the adverts were 'discriminatory against women'.

Despite the negative reviews against them, the manager of the restaurant said that their sales have improved by at least 20 percent.

"Once the promotion started, customer numbers rose by about 20 percent," he said. "Some of the girls we met were very proud. They had nothing to hide."

He also added that the customers preferred to claim their discounts from the waitresses rather than waiters, in order to avoid embarrassment.
