Phoenix/IBNS: An Arizona man died and his wife is under critical condition after they took chloroquine phosphate apparently to protect themselves from COVID-19, said a Times Now report.

Chloroquine phosphate is an additive used to clean fish tanks.

The report said the couple had not taken the medication form of chloroquine used to treat malaria, hospital system Banner Health said.

The anti-malaria drug and the fish tank cleaning additive are different in composition, the report added.
