New York, Jan 23 (IBNS): Four males, who were accused of plotting a bomb attack in Muslim community, have been arrested in New York, media reports said.

Brian Colaneri (20), Vincent Vetromile (19), Andrew Crysel (18) and an unidentified 16-year old male were arrested in Greece, New York on Friday.

All the accused, who were targeting Muslim community of Islamberg in Delaware County, New York, were students of a school in upstate New York.

The arrests took place after a student of the school overheard his 16-year old batch-mate, who was saying, "he looks like the next school shooter, doesn't he?", and reported the comment.

The comment was made at the lunch time.

After interviewing the students, police found 23 firearms and "improvised explosive devices" which were associated with the four accused.

Patrick Phelan, Greece Chief of Police, said the plot was in process for about a month.

Hailing the quick investigation, Phelan said as quoted by CNN, "This was a nice job by everyone involved. The kids did what they were supposed to do, security did what they were supposed to do. They involved the police very quickly and everything worked. And as a result, nobody's dead. That's a good story, it really is."
