Islamabad, Aug 18 (IBNS): Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan will take oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan on Saturday.

The oath-taking ceremony will take place at the President House later in the day.

Khan, who outvoted opposition and PML-N candidate Shahbaz Sharif in the PM's election on Friday, will be administered his oath by President Mamnoon Hussain, Dawn News reported.

Former Indian cricket star Navjot Singh Sidhu will be present at the oath-taking ceremony.

Imran Khan and his PTI scripted a massive victory in the recently held general elections in the country.

Imran Khan had a glorious cricketing career before he shifted to politics after retirement.

Under his captaincy, Pakistan had won the World Cup in 1992.
