Lebanon: Israeli strike flattens multi-storey residential building in Beirut, 11 die

Israeli strike flattened a multi-storey residential building in central Beirut which left at least 11 people dead.

The attack left several others injured.

Rescue workers in Lebanon were on Saturday morning searching for survivors under the rubble in the densely populated Basta area of the Lebanese capital, authorities told CNN.

The Israel Defense Forces did not comment on the incident so far.

This is the latest Israeli strike in Beirut in recent weeks.

The strikes reportedly left 23 people injured.
