Yangon, Feb 27 (Xinhua) Myanmar armed forces have taken over a training camp of ethnic militant group Arakan Army (AA) in the western Rakhine state after several clashes, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services late Tuesday.

About 100 AA insurgents were left at the training camp, which is located in the east of Kyauktaw-Mrauk U road in the state, while some other militants retreated towards the east and south.

After the clashes last Wednesday, four bodies of AA militants, some arms and ammunition were seized while government forces also suffered some casualties, said the release.

The military vowed to continue its security operations to ensure the rule of law and regional stability in the state.
