Karachi, May 3 (IBNS): A couple was shot dead in Pakistan's Karachi city on Tuesday, media reports said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Karachi's Superhighway area.

SSP Malir Adeel Hussain Chandio told Geo News Amir and Mukhatiba had run away from their houses and tied the knot around a year ago.

Chandio  said the couple were shot by unknown men.

“Amir was shot in the head while Mukhatiba was shot in her chest and shoulder,” SSP Malir told the Pakistani news channel.

SSP Malir told Geo News that they are waiting for Amir’s family and did not register a case on the request of Mukhatiba’s family.
