Pakistan: Six labourers killed in Balochistan

Islamabad, May 4 (IBNS): In an incident of firing, at least six labourers were killed in Pakistan's Balochistan area on Friday, media reports said.

The incident reportedly occurred in Kharan district.

Levies sources told Dawn News unknown miscreants on motorcycles opened fire at labourers in the Laijay area of Kharan. 

The labourers — all hailing from Punjab — were working on a mobile tower when they were targeted, officials told the Pakistani news paper.

The attackers reportedly escaped from the spot unhurt.

Security forces reached the spot after the attack took place.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

The motive behind the attack is not known.
