A mother and their three daughters were found dead in their home in Pakistan's  Swat district on Saturday with authorities fearing that they were killed in the name of honour.

The incident triggered panic in the area.

Police told The Express Tribune that local residents and brother of the deceased woman informed them about the incident and when they reached the site they found the four unfortunate women dead.

An official told the newspaper that the woman was killed by her husband along with the three daughters and after three days he called his brother-in-law about the incident.

Police later reached the spot and moved the bodies to a nearby hospital for autopsy.

“The accused has reportedly fled to Muscat, Oman after committing the crime in cold blood,” a police official told The Expres Tribune.
