Shock move! flydubai suspends flights to 3 major Pakistan cities till October

| @indiablooms | May 13, 2026, at 05:54 pm

flydubai has suspended flight operations to and from Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar until October 26 due to “operational reasons,” according to local media reports.

However, the UAE-based low-cost carrier confirmed to Dawn News that its flight operations to and from Karachi will continue as scheduled.

The airline had launched operations in Islamabad and Lahore in July 2024, while services to Peshawar commenced in May last year as part of its network expansion in Pakistan.

According to aviation tracking platform Flightradar24, flydubai flights between Islamabad and Dubai (FZ353, FZ354), Lahore and Dubai (FZ359, FZ360), and Peshawar and Dubai (FZ375, FZ376) have been cancelled since at least May 7, Dawn reported.

A statement issued on flydubai’s website on March 31 — days after the escalation of the Iran conflict — noted that the airline is “currently operating flights across its network with a reduced schedule.”

The carrier, however, did not explicitly confirm whether the ongoing tensions in the Middle East were directly responsible for the suspension of its Pakistan operations.

“We continue to closely monitor the situation and update our flight schedule accordingly. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the airline said in its statement.

The ongoing US-Iran conflict has triggered a sharp spike in global jet fuel prices, placing significant pressure on airlines worldwide and creating one of the most challenging operating environments for the aviation industry in recent years.
