Six killed in China police firing
Beijing, Jan 12 (IBNS) Police have shot dead six 'mobsters' in the troubled Xinjiang province of China, where a 'separatist' movement by Muslims was going on, official news agency Xinhua reported on Monday.
The report, however, did not give details of the incident.
The Xinjiang unrest, said to be caused by the minority Ulghur ethnic community, most of whom are Muslims, has made headlines several times in recent times for incidents of violence.
The Ulghurs are said to be demanding a separate country called East Turkestan.
