UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn refuse to resign even after no confidence vote

London, June 28 (IBNS): UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has refused to resign from his post even as his party MPs passed a no confidence motion in his name.
After the no confidence vote, Corbyn, as quoted by the BBC, on Tuesday said the ballot had "no constitutional legitimacy".

Jeremy said he would not "betray" the members who voted for him by resigning.

An overwhelming number of Labour Party MPs have passed the no confidence motion criticizing his performance during the European Union referendum campaign.

In a historic referendum, Britain last week voted to leave the European Union, thus severing a tie of decades and dealing a blow to the European unity.

The Labour Party, however, was in favour of staying in the bloc and Jeremy has been criticized for campaigning poorly for the same.
