New York, July 5 (Just Earth News): The United Nations has condemned the terrorist attacks in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and underscored the need to bring those responsible to justice, a spokesperson for UN Secretary-General António Guterres said on Tuesday.

“We are appalled by the utter disregard for human life displayed by the perpetrators,” Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesman for the UN chief, said in a statement today.

“Those responsible for the attacks must be held accountable.”

According to reports, at least 20 people were killed and dozens more wounded in the incident.

In the statement, Dujarric also offered the Organization's condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
